Hatsune Miku

I haven’t drawn a fanart in about 10 years, but I’ve always found it a good way of challenging yourself to try out someone else’s characters and style. Hatsune Miku is huge right now, especially in Asia. She’s a virtual pop-idol almost like something out of the movie Simone, but everyone knows she’s virtual, haha. For those of you that don’t know, Miku is a character from Yamaha’s Vocaloid software. She’s one of the voices to choose from as the vocal synthesizer. I love the concept of musicians that can’t sing being given a voice to use for their songs, even if it’s a bit high pitched. Just look her up on youtube…it’s pretty crazy what people have come up with.
